Media Research Assistant

On-going, part-time assistant to conduct daytime telephone media surveys, write reports, maintain communications. Responsibilities are to survey media decision makers across the country, collect data, develop media usage reports and assist with annual report. The assistant provides production/project assistance to the Executive Director or Production Coordinator as needed. Great opportunity for college student or graduate to gain experience in public relations, learn about and forge relationships with journalists, editors and broadcasters. Pleasant and professional phone manner, basic computer skills, strong communication and writing skills required. Ideal for students. Flexible hours. Stipend available.

Development Consultant

American Forum seeks development consultant with experience working with progressive nonprofit organizations to assist the Forum in developing and implementing an organizational fundraising plan to help diversify funding base. Experience developing small and large donor base programs required. Knowledge of alternative fundraising programs, revenue-generating services, direct mail and on-line fundraising a plus. Consultant will also work with staff to create systems to track progress toward fundraising goals. May lead to permanent employment.
